Saturday, before the week of the Nobel Prize announcements, the Divest Nobel-campaign reminded the Nobel Foundation that it’s time to clean up the Nobel Prizes from dirty fossil fuel investments.
”The whole of my remaining realizable estate shall be dealt with in the following way: the capital, invested in safe securities by my executors, shall constitute a fund, the interest on which shall be annually distributed in the form of prizes to those who, during the preceding year, shall have conferred the greatest benefit to mankind.”
– Alfred Nobel

Saturday, before the week of the Nobel Prize announcements, the Divest Nobel-campaign reminded the Nobel Foundation that it’s time to clean up the Nobel Prizes from dirty fossil fuel investments.
A year packed with bold climate actions against the fossil fuel industry and a growing movement telling its own stories of impacts and resistance at the frontlines of climate change in new and inspiring ways.
The Nobel Foundation can be really important in this fight by pushing for a fossil free and 100% renewable future. If the Nobel Foundation divests from fossil fuels it will be a strong signal and a wake-up call for people and institutions around the world
